TRAUMA-FOCUSED CLINICAL INTERNSHIP

We are searching for highly motivated graduate-level interns who are passionate about trauma recovery, resilience-building, and evidence-based behavioral health care. Our patients depend on us for help processing and recovering from a wide variety of traumatic experiences, so it’s important to us that we work with people who approach therapy with a trauma-informed lens.

What You’ll Gain
Over the course of your internship experience, learning experiences include but are not limited to:

Intensive training in trauma-informed care
-
Hands-on clinical experience with diverse trauma populations
-
Exposure to evidence-based modalities (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatic experiencing, attachment-based body work, EMDR-informed approaches)
-
Weekly individual supervision with an AAMFT-approved Supervisor Candidate
-
Case consultation and interdisciplinary collaboration with other agencies
-
Experience in crisis response and stabilization techniques
-
Planned diverse paid trainings

Who Should Apply
All applicants should be students currently enrolled in one of these programs:

Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Social Work (MSW)

Marriage & Family Therapy

Clinical or Counseling Psychology

Ideal candidates will also be:

Skilled in adapting to the ever-evolving mental health landscape

Emotional Regulation & Nervous System Stabilization

Trauma Psychoeducation & Resilience Training

LGBTQ/sexual minority issues

Couples therapy, including high conflict couples
Internship Details
-
Located in Hampshire, IL
-
Semester-Based Placement (will not consider anything under 6 months)
-
Academic Credit Eligible, free supervision
-
$1,000 in paid CEU opportunities to learn a modality of choice
